Survivors deserve to know why we kept these ingredients out:
Folate (Folic Acid): Essential for DNA repair and cellular growth, folate is crucial in our bodies—but excessive supplementation has been linked in some studies to an increased risk of various cancers. We recommend obtaining folate from food or as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Kava: Despite its known calming effects, kava has been associated with liver damage. In our expert opinion, the potential risks outweigh the benefits.
Slippery Elm: This ingredient can interfere with the absorption of other nutrients and medications due to its mucilaginous properties, which form a barrier in the digestive system. To maximize the effectiveness of our formulas, it is excluded.
St. John’s Wort: Although it has mood balancing benefits, St. John’s Wort is known to reduce the effectiveness of many medications, including antidepressants, birth control, and immunosuppressants. For survivors managing complex health needs, this risk is too significant.
Vitamin B12: Although vitamin B12 is essential, recent scientific studies suggest that elevated serum B12 levels may be associated with an increased cancer risk. We recommend obtaining B12 through dietary sources unless specifically prescribed by a healthcare provider. For this reason, we offer B12 as an optional add-on, intended only for individuals confirmed to be deficient through appropriate testing.

When should I begin taking the Conception Prenatal Support pack?
All of the doctors on our Perelel Panel recommend their patients start on the Conception Prenatal Support Pack around 6 months prior to becoming pregnant. Our medical co-Founder often recommends starting a whole year prior to help your body build up all its nutrient stores and be best prepared to support a pregnancy.*For any specific concerns however we do recommend you speak to your doctor for your individual needs.
